As the weather warms so does the inside of your home. A property or building that does not have sufficient ventilation is a building waiting for condensation problems to occur. The most obvious sign of condensation problems due to no trickle vents is condensation around the internal, top and sides of window frames. These problems normally manifest in the form of damp wall or ceiling areas turning black with the growth of mould spores.
Installing or fitting trickle vents in your windows is an easy and safe way of dealing with the problem. The hot air gathers inside your home and gravitates towards the cooler surfaces. These are often windows and doors, usually in a recess so the warm air is trapped. It rises to the top of the window where (if there is an open trickle vent) it can escape.
Reddiseals trickle vents are supplied in packs and include vent and canopy, or vent, canopy and grill. Surface mounted or flush fit styles are available. All our trickle vents comply with part F of the building regulations for new build and replacement. We offer a slim line vent for sash windows. We are proud to introduce the new Link Vent Trickle Vent, which meets the requirements in the building regulations for newly installed windows.
